Evette Khaziran (Redeemer Baptist School) is passionate about animals and hopes to become a veterinary physician. Using this passion, her project explored ways to increase sugar glider populations in urban environments. Using night-vision cameras and motion detectors, she monitored a group of sugar gliders with particular focus on their ability to enter and exit nesting boxes.

Struggling to squeeze himself, his three brothers, and all their surfing gear into one car for weekend surfing trips, Lachlan Bolton (Redeemer Baptist School) decided to develop a collapsible surfboard. While his surfboard isn't the first developed that can break into modules, its ability to extend in size is a world first.
